Estradiol - female hormones, Buy Purchase ethinyl estradiol valerate patch

    Introduction

In women, estradiol is a steroid hormone produced by the ovaries and adrenal glands. Estradiol has a direct effect on the function of the reproductive system, the nervous system, the cardiovascular system and the skeletal system. Blood sugar levels, skin and other tissues and functions are also influenced by Estradiol. Like all steroid hormones, too much amounts of estradiol can contribute to a number of increased health risks. Being one of the most important "female hormones" which is responsible for a normal monthly cycle, estradiol is well known to support normal function in quite a number of important physiological processes including bone mineral density & osteoporosis, proper heart and blood vessel health & arteriosclerosis prevention.

Estradiol is the most powerful estrogen of a group of endogenous estrogen steroids, which includes estrone and estriol. In women estradiol is responsible for growth of the breast and reproductive epithelia, maturation of long bones and growth of the secondary sexual characteristics. Estradiol is produced primarily by the ovaries with secondary production by the adrenal glands and conversion of steroid precursors into estrogens in fat tissue.

Mood, sex drive, thyroid function, skin elasticity and fertility are also affected by estradiol. Peri- and post-menopausal women may monitor the decreasing levels of this hormone that occur with age. Cycling women experiencing PMS symtoms that may be due to a hormonal imbalance can also monitor estradiol. In men estradiol does not play a role as important as it does in women, though men also have a small amount of estradiol in their bodies. The amount of testosterone that men have usually does not allow estradiol to have any considerable physiological effects on the body. If the amount of estradiol compared to testosterone increases, then men can see certain symptoms such as wieght gain especially in the midsection, development of enlarged breasts (gynecomastia), decreased sex drive, and many of the signs of low testosterone. Certain medications and drugs, chronic alcoholism and other chronic health conditions may result in increased astradiol levels in men.
